The Foundation has organised
state-level advocacy conferences in states of Rajasthan, Uttar
Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Maharashtra, providing
a platform to academicians, population experts, social scientists,
bureaucrats, politicians and government officials to share
their expertise in relation to population, health and social
development issues and various constraints being faced from
time to time. The recommendations that emerged were submitted
to the respective state governments for consideration. These
also helped the Foundation to focus its projects/programmes
in these states/districts.

in Bihar on December 14-15, 2002 and will focus its attention
on Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Orissa in the coming years.
