Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Field Interventions :
 
Total management of Essential RCH & Primary Health Care through Public Private
Partnership : A model and innovative project.
 

This innovative project is being implemented by Karuna Trust, Karnataka, aims to demonstrate models of public Primary Health Centers that effectively delevers the essential RCH & primary health care services. The project is covering one Primary Health Center area in each of the five socio - demographically backward districts of Bagalkot, Bidar, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur and 2PHCs in Bellary district of Karnataka. This intervention would benefit more than two lakhs of population in this region.

The main objectives of this project includes:

To manage routine functioning of select Government Primary Health Centers and strengthen them into model PHCs.
To maximise utilisation of RCH services at the sub-centers of the select model PCHs
To influence and facilitate change for improved health seeking behaviour in the communities covered by the modelPCHs
 

Currently a base line survey is being initiated in the project area and some other preliminary activities are being taken up.
