The CHEs and VVs regularly meet and counsel the pregnant and lactating women on various RCH issues. A user fee of Rs 10 is charged per client, which is valid for a month. To manage this fund, a bank account will be opened and managed by the Management Committee of each HISC. The overall maintenance and security of the material of the HISC is the responsibility of this committee. Each member is to contribute Rs 10 that could be loaned to members for emergency health care. The CHEs have been introduced to the concept of social marketing for condoms, oral contraceptives, ORS, etc with the help of health workers and village level volunteers.
