In association with the Synodical Board of Health services (SBHS), Church of North India, New Delhi, PFI started a project with the objectives of training master trainers of the 26 Dioceses, spread over 10 states, namely, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Assam, Rajasthan and in the three Union Territories, on Behavioural Change Communication relating to health, population and social development, building their capacities, bringing about the needed behaviour change, and developing communication skills. These master trainers in turn impart training to the grassroots level workers in their respective Dioceses. The Dioceses level workshops were conducted in 10 dioceses of the Church of North India wherein 627 participants from various Dioceses participated. The programme would be completed by July 2005.
