With
the support of Population Foundation of India and UNFPA,
the Rotary Club, Saket organized a Population Advocacy Workshop
on October 20, 2004 at Gyan Bharti School, Saket, New Delhi.
The purpose of the workshop was to educate adolescent students
on population and related issues. Students of Classes X to
XII from various schools participated at the workshop. Representatives
from PFI, UNFPA and Rotary International conducted sessions
on population education, role and responsibilities of adolescents,
and gender discrimination. A group exercise was conducted
amongst the students to get an insight into their knowledge
and views on population and related issues.
